INTRODUCTION

This was my first game that used custom assembly routines to render the graphics. Every pixel in the entire game was rendered using my own assembly routines. The game involves designing a custom 'weirdo' which can have varying weight, speed, jump height, and actions that can be performed and battling your way to the exit on each level. On each level unique computer controlled weirdos jump from platform to platform and attack to prevent you from reaching your goal.

GAME BASICS
Unlike most games, each body part has a life bar. You die if your body is destroyed. Yes you can lose your head and still remain alive. Losing your head makes your other body parts receive double damage. Life bars are on the bottom of the screen. The backgound color is lighter depending on how much life your head has. The red left bar is your body life. The top two bars are the life of your left and right arms and the bottom two bars are your leg's life. The objective is to find the exit of each level. The game does not do anything when you find it(Never programmed).
To exit the game press ESC while on the player selection screen.

Be sure to read the "grab" move to allow you to steal body parts from other weirdos.

Player 1:
Make sure number lock is on

Keys for player 1
9: KICK
7: THROW
5: PUNCH
8246: UP DOWN LEFT RIGHT

Keys for player 2
V: THROW
B: KICK
SPACE: PUNCH
Up=UP Down=DOWN Left=LEFT Right=RIGHT




MOVES FOR ALL PLAYERS

While Standing
Up:Jump press Up again while jumping to go extra high.
Down:Crouch
Forward:Start Running. You will continue to run until you hit back. Which will cause you to stop.
Back:turn
KICK: Kick
THROW: Throw
PUNCH: Punch


While Crouching
Up:Stand Up
Down:Slide Kick
KICK:Powerful short kick
PUNCH:Fling arm:Your arm will fly really far forward and come back. Hit PUNCH again to punch with the other arm before the move is over.
THROW: Grab: if your arm touches another weirdos body you will hold them in the air and allow you
to steal their body parts! Once a body part is stolen you will be able to pick it from
the weirdos creation screen.
You will only be able to hold them for a very short time. Heavier arms will
be able to hold them for longer. They heavier they are the less time you have so be very quick.

While Grabbing
Up: Swap Head
Down: Swap Body
KICK: Swap Legs
PUNCH: Swap Arms
THROW,Forward/Back: Throw them without swap

While Running
KICK: Long High Kick: Your leg will extend high into the air.
PUNCH: Punch+Kick
THROW: Throw

While Jumping
KICK: jump kick
THROW: Throw: Touching a weirdo's body will throw them down to the floor dealing body damage.
Down: "Bounce Kick": This only works with the red "teardrop" like legs and the long red "hot dog" legs. This will cause you to bounce off of the next object you hit and deal
damage if it is a weirdo.

Other Moves
While Punching from a standing position press FORWARD: this will do a sliding forward punch.
While kicking from a standing position preww THROW: This will cause you to do a flip. While your
weirdo is in a hand stand position you can press the grabbing keys to steal the corrisponding body part.
Hang: your weirdo will automaticly do this if you come near the edge of an object. Press left and right to swing back and forth,


Swapping bodies with a dead weirdo(like your partner) will make you both alive(You will have 1 hit point left though)




CHEATS

*: Hit this fast after you fall off the bottom of the screen to get put on top of the nearest platform.

\: this puts you into hover mode. You can fly around the screen.
